The stamps on this primitive yet elegant stoneware ceramic Viking age mug reproduction are based on patterns found on similar drinking vessels around Italy, but this design is ubiquitous throughout Europe during that era. Looks a lot like the originals but a little bigger (and thrown on a wheel rather than hand-built).
Measures 4 1/4″ tall, holds 14 oz.
Signature on the bottom is inscribed with “Confused spring flowers bloom in November” and “2024” to commemorate the day it came out of the kiln.
